Ana Torre
Ana Torre moved to London in 2012 to train as an actor. She graduated from Drama Studio London in 2015 and went on to perform as Adriana in 'Serpent of the Sea' in collaboration with CASA festival. It was during this time that she also started writing her own material and a couple of years later co-produced the new writing night Unfolded which successfully sold out its three editions.
Ana is incredibly passionate about diversity; this impacts her work as an artist. In 2019 Ana wrote, produced, and starred in her first full-length play 'The Castilla Sisters' and it marked the launch of her production company Barbarian Collective which focuses on putting the outsider at the forefront of the story. ‘The Castilla Sisters’ had a successful run at the Bread & Roses Theatre to critical acclaim. At the beginning of 2020, she played a political prisoner in Caryl Churchill's ‘Far Away’ at the Donmar Warehouse, directed by Lynsey Turner. In October of that year, she was hired by Marvel as an acting coach for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and in June 2021 she wrote and produced her first short film 'The Box' which tackles the lack of Latin American representation in the UK through comedy for which she went on to win best actress at the RS Film Fest.
